Hockey Day begins Saturday at Civic Center | News, Sports, Jobs

NEW ULM — On Saturday, Hockey Day at the New Ulm Civic Center begins with games between New Ulm and Northfield squirt “A”, “B” and “C” teams. Bantam “A” and “B” teams and the JV and varsity teams. Games begin on both sheets of ice beginning at 9:15 a.m.

There will also be a Silent Auction from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a raffle for four Minnesota Wild Club Level tickets. The cost is $25 per raffle ticket.

There will also be a skills contest for all ages. The cost is $10 per participant. German food will also be available in the upstairs meeting room.

Fans can also skate with the varsity after the game.

And Andy Shriver, the first New Ulm High School girls’ hockey coach, will be awarded the Tom Macho award.
