Technical difficulties on the Liveblog. We’re working on fixing it.

Matt Dumba’s power-play howitzer made it 2-0, 11 minutes into the second period.

Charlie Coyle scored a shorty 80 seconds later, and Eric Staal out the game out of reach 15 minutes into the second.

But they weren’t done. Jared Spurgeon scored with a second left in the period to make it 5-0.

Minnesota dominated the first period, but Antti Niemi kept the Wild at Bay until Nino Niederreiter tipped home Jonas Brodin’s point shot, 14 minutes in. TSN’s Mike Johnson called it “an ideal first period” for the home team, which dominated pretty much every aspect of play.

Shots through 40 are 20-16 for the team that’s getting spanked.
